We had the pleasure of having Evangelia and George, from the Washington, DC area, on an unusually chilly day in May, as one of our first weddings of our 2013 summer. And what a special one it was. We really got a chance to know and spend time with this special couple. Karenina was even their Koumbara ... a Greek word meaning the person who assists in the marriage ceremony. The couple chose to have a small, private ceremony on May 16th at Agios Markos Church in Imerovigli. The bride wore a gorgeous, flowing white dress with elements of pink to match the groom's tie. She carried a beautiful bouquet filled with lilacs, peonies, roses, bouvardia, and greenery. The celebration had a quiet, country feel with white baskets of flowers and vintage pink cake plates under (trees, pines) on the church patio. All in all, a beautiful day, finished with the newlyweds dancing in the wind. Congratulations, Evangelia and George! xox
